Blktrace-utils

I published a set of two old tools to manage blktrace traces at github.

blktrace2stats, extracts statistics about the I/O operations inside the trace, it is useful to compare if a change in the I/O stack produced more or less merges (for example). It also outputs a summary in mediawiki format to share.


blktrace2paraver, converts the blktrace trace to a paraver trace (that can be analyzed using paraver). The trace is generated with communication lines, simulating reads/writes requests to the disk, among other features to make the visualization of processes and their I/O easily.


Maybe they can be useful for somebody, as they were in IOLanes project.
